Construction site update for weeks 39–40
The rendering work on the façade of the Tower Building is nearing completion, and the remaining façade scaffolding will begin to be dismantled in a few weeks. Groundworks between the Tower Building and the adjacent wooden building have begun.
Work is progressing both indoors and on the façade of the section of the future Kaskenmäki health and social services centre that is being renovated. The removal of the old windows and façade rendering is nearing completion, and the installation of new windows has begun.
Installation of the weather protection for the renovation section is under way, and according to the current schedule, dismantling of the roof is due to begin in week 39.
Work also progresses in the parking garage
In the parking garage, bedrock grouting and foundation works continue. The groundwater barrier extending across the entire site has been completed.
– The completion of the façade work on the Tower Building marks another visible milestone on the construction site. At the same time, renovation of the health and social services centre is progressing, and installation of the new windows has already begun. Next, preparations are also being made for dismantling the roof of the renovation section, says Matti Koivu, Lujatalo’s site manager.
