Construction Site Update for Weeks 23–24
An important milestone has been reached at the Kaskia wellbeing block construction site, as the majority of the blasting works have now been completed.
– The blasting works have progressed well and, according to the current assessment, no additional blasting will be required. At the same time, work continues to ensure the watertightness of the parking garage. Good progress has been made in improving the watertightness of the excavation area, but injection works will continue as they are a normal part of projects of this type, says Matti Koivu, Site Manager at Lujatalo.
General excavation works for the new residential building, Kaskia, are about to begin, while filling works are being carried out in another part of the site.
Visible Progress in the Tower Building
Construction work in the Tower Building is progressing well. Façade rendering works are underway and installation of the new balconies has begun.
Piling Works for the New Residential Building to Begin During the Summer
Piling works for the Kaskia building will begin during the summer. This phase of the project will periodically cause noise in the surrounding area.
Working hours at the construction site have also been reviewed with all subcontractors. Work both indoors and on the construction site area ends no later than 6:00 p.m.
Construction activities will continue throughout the summer. During weeks 28–29, activity on the site will be reduced due to the holiday season.
We thank our neighbours for their patience during the construction works.
