Kaskia well-being quarter construction site – weeks 50–51
At the Kaskia Wellbeing Block construction site, piling, rock drilling, and injection work will continue in the coming weeks. Blasting work is postponed until after Christmas. In addition, earthworks and removal of soil materials will continue. Demolition work continues in the Tower building and the old hospital building.
Piling and drilling work continues
Rock drilling, piling, and injection work continue across the site. Construction of the pile wall on the Kaskenkatu side is expected to begin in week 50.
Water and sewer connection work on Kaskenkatu
Water and sewer connection work on Kaskenkatu will start in week 50.
Blasting work resumes after Christmas
Blasting work is expected to resume after Christmas, week 1 (29 December 2025). We will provide more precise information once we have confirmation.
Please note that there are other construction sites in Kaskenmäki besides Kaskia Wellbeing Block. For example, the construction site at Kaskenmäki daycare (Kaskenmäen päiväkoti) also generates blasting noise in the area.
